Paul Jaconi-Biery has over a dozen years of experience in independent and low-budget filmmaking, which has helped him develop a creatively cost-conscious, “put-every-penny-on-the-screen” approach to every project.
A graduate of UCLA’s English/Creative Writing program and with an MFA in Film Production from Loyola Marymount, Paul worked for years in the trenches of physical production on numerous independent features across the United States, Germany, The Dominican Republic, Mexico and The Cayman Islands.
Paul most recently produced the feature film SISTER CITIES, which is currently in post production. His previous feature, RETURN TO ZERO, earned Emmy and Critics Choice Award nominations for its star, Minnie Driver. The film won a Satellite Award for best television film.
As executive producer, Paul has been involved in award-winning commercial campaigns, including “In the Sun,” and “The Girl is Back in Town.”
Paul’s film credits include Rodrigo Garcia’s LAST DAYS IN THE DESERT and MOTHER AND CHILD, Rob Spera’s THE SWEET LIFE, Tatia Pilieva’s FOREVER, Arie Posin’s THE FACE OF LOVE, Kevin Smith’s RED STATE and Robin Swicord’s THE JANE AUSTEN BOOK CLUB.
